Ode to Lily...

These are some pix of Moms dog Lily. She is the daughter of Elvis (my anatolian shepherd) and Bandi (my great pyrenese). She literaly will sit on the swing like a human. Back feet off the ground and front paws on the ground to stabilize her. It's the darndest cutest thing you will ever see! She is enormous. Like her daddy! This was Abbi one of Lilys sisters from another litter...how cute is that?

Awwww, what sweet puppy pictures!!! Wow, those are big dogs! Loved how Miss Lilly will sit on the swing. That's too funny!

Greg has a 14 year old cockerpoo (mix of cocker spaniel and poodle). She's deaf and going blind in one eye, but a sweetheart. She's family!

Way to cute and funny. I think Miss Lily thinks she’s 'people'. I know it’s impolite to ask a lady, but how much does Miss Lily weigh? She’s a really big beautiful pooch.

Hey Aleta! Yes our pets are family for sure. Gregs girl had given years of love and devotion and receiving the same!!

Vikki...I'm sure Miss Lily wouldn't mind me secretly sharing her weight as long as I whisper *160ish* (I think). Elvis is 200# about. He is very active. Runs across our pasture like a pup!

Hey Jules,

I just saw the photo of your Dad. What a cute guy he was. I love his sweet smile. You had a hotty for a Dad also.

I also wanted to tell you I really love these old photos. Would you consider allowing me to use some of them for paintings? I'm thinking about a series I'll simply call 'families'. (And by the way you can contact via email through my website (go to the contact/purchase link)http://www.theredchairgallery.com/

Thanks for stopping by my place Jules...
I love your post about "I feel like creating something"..
You and I have so much in common, you could be my twin.
Even though I'm 38, I think there is a way it could still work out.
(I especially love that you said, " I'm a bit dyslexic from time to time." I can sooo relate to that. In fact, I will no doubt get the Blogger word verification backward when I go to publish this comment... I do it every time.)

What nice dogs you have and wonderful pictures! We plan on getting a dog when we retire, but for now we love our cats.

Also noticed you're on Shelfari too! Look me up there--I'd like to be your friend. (Karen Zemek)

Hey everyone, I haven't visited Julie's blog for a week or so, and I so want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments on my Miss Lily. (I am Julie's mom btw). I got Miss Lily from Julie, offspring of her Elvis and Bandi, and a more adoreable love never lived. I adore her. She's just over two yrs old, and grew so fast she now has hip dysplasia , so sad, so I give her a lot of glucosamine/condroite, but she will have bad arthritis from it. When she was born, I went to visit Julie (5 weeks later) and saw Lily, and it was love at first sight. She would wiggle her little butt so cute when she walked, and she followed me everywhere. When she flew home on the plane, the pilot said "well, this will be her last trip by plane" knowing how big she would get. Yesterday, I bathed my other dog in Lily's pool, and when I was done, Lily followed Cali all over the yard sniffing her. I can';t bathe Lily, she would pull me into next week! But she has a natural coating on her fur that sheds dirt, and she's always clean. Again, God knew what he was doing, lol!

Mom,
You are so funny!
I also remember when you two met. I was so worried that she would keep you up whining all night.

I got up to check on her and there you were, pacing in the garage holding her like a baby. I knew then that she had a new mama!
